mayor of Berkeley. Subjects covered include his defeat in 1911 by a Socialist candidate and attempts to annex Berkeley by
Oakland. The collection also includes an annual report from the mayor and city councilmen of Berkeley, transcripts of Hodghead's
speeches (dating back to 1894), a transcript of hearings regarding Hetch Hetchy Dam and a small amount of clippings and correspondence
with Hodghead's family about his career.
